			If it isn’t one adventure for Eddie, then it’s another and along the way if there’s a damsel in distress, that’s just irresistible isn’t it. Sometimes there is evil to vanquish and a battle to overcome. A succubus is supposed to be evil after all, but what if there’s more to her than what is seen.

			The work continues the story of Eddie in his ongoing quest to do the right thing for the right reasons and save a fantasy world that needs all the help they can get. The story is fun with a lot of complexities that I thought make the story a fast paced read overall. There’s really no barrier when entering the series at this point overall, the story brings the reader up to speed quickly and it’s not a poorly done info dump either.

			There is a scattering of erotica here and there which is mainly about Eddie and his harem of warriors and other heroes. There are, of course, other scenes and along the way the story reveals the succubus of the work, Sigrith.

			Sigrith isn’t at all a stereotypical succubus and that made her so very appealing. She’s not a two-dimensional villain and really she isn’t that much of one overall. The reasons for that can be found in the story, but when Eddie finally gets to her, and that takes forever in the story, the truth is something unexpected and offers Sigrith the one thing she never expected.

			There is a fair bit of character development for Sigrith in the story, it’s not done by any means however. Still, it’s the freeing of her soul, for lack of a better explanation that delighted me. Beyond this, she’s ever so much a seductress, the descriptions of her powers and her control is perfect in every way which was just a lot of fun to watch unfold. But she hovers around the edges of the story until well into the latter third begins which really was a shame as I’d have liked to know more about what she was doing, how she came to be where she was before Eddie arrived. I think that would be really interesting to explore and it was a shame it really wasn’t.

			Four out of five pitchforks.

			Sigrith is a very delightful succubus character and there seems to be a good direction for her story to go in. I hope there’s not a twist in the tail later on in the series, that would be far too stereotypically expected. While I haven’t read, and won’t read the prior works in the series because there are no succubi to be found, I will be looking for the next work. Sigrith’s story interests me and I do want to see where that goes.
