			When you open a door, you don’t know what is waiting on the other side. A scientist’s gamble brings Andrew to encounter Andrast, a creature of lust and darkness and he will never escape her.

			The work is a mixture of scifi, horror and the supernatural which revolves around erotic encounters through a portal with what seems to be a succubus in another dimension. It is so very dark, the horror aspects are very much in control of the story from the beginning to the last word.

			The succubus of the work, Andrast, us very much a creature of seductive evil with undercurrents of darkness and despair within her. Her form shifts and changes through the encounters, but at the core of things she is a succubus, she takes from others, and leaves little behind. It’s something of a Dante’s inferno in a way in that respect. While she is sensual and many of the traditional succubus aspects are seen, she is also rather one-dimensional and it is a shame that she exists in this work, but does not command it or control it.

			Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

			The work closes in an ominous way, which considering the balance of the story really wasn’t a surprise. It is very much body horror with a bit of succubus themed erotica to tie the pieces together. Overall it was interesting, but I don’t enjoy horror stories, more so when succubi are tossed into things just to add some erotica to what otherwise could have I think held together or turned on another edge without them.
