			To Mia, a modelling job is a job. Until it isn’t. Swept into a world of myths and legends, she finds danger at every turn, and the incubus she cannot resist is calling out to her.

			The work is something of a fantasy adventure with quite a lot of political machinations and appearances of a lot of mythological beings and creatures. While there are some erotic moments, the story is more focused on Mia trying to come to terms with everything around her and survive the challenges.

			As that unfolds, the story tends to drift off in a lot of odd and varied directions through which hints and teases are given, but as they are it’s fleeting and in passing. Similarly, it’s odd how the mythological aspects are just accepted by Mia as they poke conflicts with her reality and there’s so very little considered about that.

			The incubi of the story, Jarret and Rolfe, act like incubi, are sex focused and their powers and personalities are wrapped about that part of them. They aren’t evil by any means, and as for Jarret, he is so utterly taken by Mia that when he reveals that he is an incubus, it’s sort of in passing before he and Mia become entangled and the consequences of that come to the fore.

			Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

			It’s a real shame that the series didn’t continue from this work, there’s quite a few possibilities to explore and how the story ends just feels rushed and incomplete. The work really could use an editing pass to make the dialogue better, to clean up the narrative and most of all, take the confused parts of the story and make them read better and connect the dots of the story a lot more.
