			Ryker has a problem and it’s his own fault. But that’s a mistake in the past and now he has to deal with being dragged all over the universe by it. Still, there’s an adventure in front of him whether he likes it or not and perhaps he’ll find the answers as well.

			The work is a fantasy adventure with a slight LitRPG theme to it and a very strong harem tone as well. It’s primarily focused on the fantasy aspects with quite a lot of erotic moments along the way to give the story some spice and heat.

			While there is an appearance of LitRPG at times, it’s less a distraction than I expected it to be. There’s method to it, it doesn’t pull the character or the reader from the story, and it works well enough that I could accept it for what it was. As this is a fantasy themed story, there are many fantasy characters appearing, one of the most central being Beatrice, the succubus of the story.

			Beatrice is delightfully interesting, she’s not stereotypical, but feels like a very young succubus and that brings with it some very unique moments. Her first appearance is just a lot of fun, she’s very much focused on getting what she wants and how things unfold allows for the rest of the story to work really well.

			The thing is, however, she states she is the last of her kind in this universe and that is a plot thread that really wasn’t explored further. There’s a very short possible reason for her being so, but that’s glossed over and it really shouldn’t have been. Beatrice is really so very interesting a character to see develop over the course of the story and by the ending that’s just a change which offers a lot to explore further if this series does so.

			It’s a story with a succubus as one of the characters and not a story about a succubus as this is very much a harem story with a bit of a twist in it. I still feel that some time could have been spent with Beatrice to tell more about the succubi in this universe. Further to that, how she was the last of her kind matters and it’s not explored well enough. Still, this is the first work in the series so we’ll see what comes next. I’ll hope that there will be a Beatrice focused part of the series if for no other reason than to close her story and, hopefully, do something unexpected as well.
