			Lily is on the hunt for a werewolf, but there are complications. One is Stefano, the bounty hunter that Lily knows intimately, or so she thinks. The other is the werewolf himself, who is more trouble than Lily expected. Sometimes a chance has to be taken, and when it is, things don’t always turn out for the best.

			Lily’s story continues in this work, and as such she encounters yet another supernatural being, but in this case things are quite a bit more brutal, as a whole in the encounters. As a result there is an opportunity to learn more about Stefano, who Lily has been intimate with before in the series. His story is really quite unexpected and I liked that there was a good reason why he wound up where he is. I enjoyed the interplay between Stefano and Lily, I think it showed in a lot of ways how Lily is seen by others, not always in the best light, but it does tell of a lot of things that weren’t quite made clear in the first work.

			As well, there’s a good deal of story background shared about Max, the single human in Lily’s life and how they are connected. It gave a little insight to Lily, which I enjoyed, it broadened both of their characters and most importantly, it’s set up a lot of sexual tension that I think will be interesting to watch unfold.

			The universe, in how things work, is explained a bit more as well. There are some really unique explanations about how things work, and as well, where succubi and incubi fit into things. I thought the explanation of the werewolf curse was stunningly intelligent and I think it showed a lot of imagination on the author’s part for doing so.

			At this point in the series however, Lily’s sexual encounters are becoming a little bit repetitive as a whole, at least where it comes to Max, and to a lesser extent to Stefano. The heat is good, the scene are quite involved, but there’s a hint of repetitiveness that took some of the heat away. There is a scene with the werewolf as well which started out quite hot, but then turned in a rather over the top and somewhat violent way. What happens along the way between Lily and the werewolf makes sense, but it is possibly the most violent the series has been so far.

			But this is a vignette, a little pause in the overall series arc I feel as the prior stories which offered hints of something larger going on, aren’t touched on in this work. At times there is a feeling of a info dump going on, if one that is very well done as to be interesting most of all.

			I wish there has been more story about Lily’s past, at least as much as was told about Max and Stefano at the least. I feel like we know Lily, but we don’t. She’s hiding a lot of her past, only small bits coming out and nothing more. I wish there was a little less focus on Lily having sex and more about Lily… being herself. It’s hinted at, suggested, but not really focused on and it needs to be.

			Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

			I liked that two central characters had their stories told, but that still leaves Lily’s story untold and it really needs to be. As much as I understand that the point of the series is the erotica, focusing on that at the expense of the larger story and characters seems to be a bit of a shame.
