			Lucas has been given a mission by the church, to save a convent from the attention of a succubus. But the battle before him is not with the succubus, it’s within himself and the choices he makes. Sometimes doing the right thing doesn’t always make you feel like a hero.

			The work is an erotic mystery which delves into the main character’s life, his thoughts, and the truth that he must face when there’s little choice to save those around him than to give himself up to the corrupting influence of the succubus herself. The erotica is rather muted, a bit rushed overall and there’s really so very little of it.

			It’s more of a character development story and being that the main character and many of the others are complex, that’s quite a journey to undertake. The pacing overall is a slow burn towards the climax and close, which fits the story as events need to transpire and become more and more complicated for the characters.

			The character Beatrice, is possessed, becomes a tool for the succubus who inhabits the convent. It’s mostly a tease through the story as things turn a bit dark and a bit erotic as well. The shifting of her personality works well and lends itself to telling the story of the succubus herself.

			Lilithia, the succubus of the work, exists in an etherical way, her presence becoming more thick around the characters as the story is told. She is there, but does not appear until the climax of the work. She’s not quite a stereotypical succubus, though her physical form has horns, tail and all. She is evil to an extent, but it more focused on gaining power to escape her bonds for a purpose not explored. That’s a shame really as she exists seemingly for sex alone and that felt like an unexplored aspect of her was missing.

			Three out of five pitchforks.

			It’s a story that is rather thin on the succubus aspects overall, as such it’s more of a possession story really. The work ends in a way that suggests a story to follow and that could be interesting. If so, it would be perhaps a bit more intriguing to allow the succubus to have more of a presence overall. Not physically for the most part, but rather the voice and temptations could provide more conflict to the story and that would be interesting.
