			Truth is a telling thing, it can be the means to everything and the way to losing it all. The threat of a succubus hovers over all and in the end only one soul can find the truth.

			The work is a fantasy adventure erotic story with a little bit of a succubus theme. The focus is mainly on the mystery, the characters trying to figure it out, and the resolution of it. There are some erotic moments, mainly male/male in nature with a bit of a domination theme to them.

			The succubus of the work is discussed, pondered, and their reasons for what transpires are told, but otherwise there is really little appearance of her. She is more of an idea, a threat, rather than a clear character and that felt like a bit of a shame. Perhaps having them as a more present character and then dealing with them in a more direct way would have made things more interesting.

			Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

			The work closes in a way that ties up a lot of loose ends and yet still allows for the series to continue. With that said, there is really very little succubus aspects to this work, she is more of a threat than a character and in that it is a bit disappointing. Still, the setting and universe is an interesting read.

Castle Rehm is a forgotten corner of the kingdom, where the locals spend most of their time drinking and avoiding the snow that plagues them most of the year. It's quiet, boring, and nothing at all like the bustling city where Kohar grew up.

He has no problem with that, however, and in fact mostly enjoys his job as Mage-in-Residence for the most boring territory in the world. What he does have problems with are the resident Captain of the Guard, who drives him crazy on a daily basis, and Solla, whom Kohar desperately wishes would notice him but has always remained oblivious.

But then people start turning up dead, and all thoughts of aggravating soldiers and oblivious mercenaries must be set aside in the face of demonic attack and a traitor in their midst…
