Plot Summary

Desperate and dateless, Darren regularly combs the university library for women and the latest scientific magazines. After an embarrassing humiliation, he’s all but given up hope until he meets Sophia, a succubus librarian, on the prowl for virile nerds. What possible scheme could Satan be hatching in a basement library that requires an army of succubi and one very lucky geek?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 18, 2020

Darren made a fool of himself and being a nerd doesn’t expect what happens next. A new librarian appears, he can’t keep her out of his thoughts and what comes next will be Darren in many different ways.

The work is a short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash set in a college library that tells a rather thin story around some erotic scenes between the main character and a succubus. The erotica is lukewarm in heat, the scenes are very much adult movie in tone as well. The opening is a bit odd, the main story odder and as for the closing pages, the story takes a turn that, honestly, made not a lot of sense.

Sophia, the main succubus of the story, there are some others as well which appear for a page in one scene and then vanish, is something of a mature succubus with a teasing nature for the most part. She’s interesting to a point, but then the story uses her for the rather porn levels of erotica and casts her off. Her return at the new of the story is a bit jarring and felt strange as well. Beyond that, there’s little exploration of her or the other succubi, save in some glossed over details, and left a lot to be desired.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

The twist at the end of the story just didn’t work for me. It made sense but otherwise it just felt like it was tossed in as an afterthought with no real meaning to it. Very much adult move in tone, a bit too crass for my liking and, really, there are better succubi librarians to be found.
