Donald G. Jackson's movies are always quiet different from other movies and that is good. You have to watch most of them more than one time to enjoy them and to understand Jackson's own special sense of humor.

"Raw Energy" starts with B-movie Legend William Smith as Sam Stompner, an actor and producer, telling us about his son Bo. We see Bo, played by Robert Rundle, B-movie Fans well-known as director of "Cybernator" (Starring William Smith) and "Divine Enforcer" (with Jan-Michael Vincent), having sex with two girls and shaving his head.(In one great scene Smith tells Rundle that he is not a bad guy, he is just a bad actor!) In the next scene Bo goes outside to his girlfriend Crystal (Amanda Rushing - great performance as maniac girl). They steal the car from director Donald G. Jackson (as Himself), enter his house and terrorize his secretary, played by the wonderful Heather Baker (she was a pretty good actress, very beautiful and sexy, with a great voice and I wonder why she stopped acting) and an actress who thought there was a casting going on.

Then things get strange. In Bo's daydreams, a dream ranger enters the scene. Crystal meets an old friend of hers, who is sitting now in a wheelchair and Donald G. Jackson again appears as Reverend Bloodwiser in a great cameo, and a few scenes later we see Bo with full long hair. Crystal leaves the scene and the sexy Nancy Lynn Vaughn aka Nancy Vee enters the scene as Daisy Dukes, having - what else - sex with Bo.

If that all sounds curious to you and confusing, well it is but that makes this movie fresh and unique. "Raw Enegry" is somewhere between Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers", David Lynch's "Mullholland Drive", Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs", Michael Haneke's "Funny Games" and Jean-Luc Godard's "A Bout De Soufflé". Like William Smith says in the beginning: A celebration of the Cinema.
