This story is something that I know as a Hot Flash type story. That means that we get little background on the characters and really only see one short scene of what could be, if the author wanted it to be, part of a longer story.

The story in the beginning is simply a man giving a woman hitchhiking a ride to the next town. But over time it becomes a hot sexual scene between the two of them. Or at least it is up to the point where the woman reveals herself to be a Succubus and the story turns into something of a horror story. The Succubus here isn't described or played as the traditional Succubus, her differences make the horror part of the story quite squeamish for me at least.

I'll give it two and a half pitchforks out of five.

I can't say that I honestly enjoyed the work for that sudden turn into horror which, for me, wasn't that necessary I think to bring the story to a close. I have read several other works of this author and, at least in my mind, this isn't one of her best works. It has it's moments, but I can't say that I think of it as being what I define as "Succubus" like. If it hadn't gone in that direction, I would have been more happy with the story overall.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale
