My Dearest Devil Princess (箱入りデビルプリンセス, lit. Devil Princess in the Box)is a Manga series published by Broccoli Books, created by the storyteller Makoto Matsumoto and the artist Maika Netsu. The series has been ongoing since November 26th, 2007. The series follows the life of High Schooler Keita Kusakabe, who is given a magical box by his friend and fellow High Schooler Natsuki Morishima and the Devil Princess Maki that is released from the box.

Synopsis

Keita has obtained a box in hopes that, as per legend, his wishes will be granted. He opens the box and out pops Maki a powerful devil She at first tells Keita she's a genie that will grant three wishes whatever they may be. At first Keita can't decide what he wants and decides to sleep on it, later the next day Keita accidentally walks in on Maki who has just finished taking a shower. Now without clothes Keita spots Maki's wings and tail. Now that Keita knows Maki's secret the real story can begin.

Characters

Maki

Maki, is a devil princess from the demon world. She grew up sheltered by her parents and doesn't really know how to be evil. She is one of the candidates to become the next demon queen in her home world.

Keita

Keita, is a human teenager who summons Maki. He is on the school track team, but is a very slow runner.

Miki

Miki, is another candidate to be the next demon queen. She tries to get in Maki's way so that Maki will lose and Miki will become Queen instead.

Hayami Sempai

Hayami sempai, is the captain of the track team and the student body president.

Hara Sempai

Hara sempai, is the vice president of the student council. She has a crush on Hayami sempai.

Natsuki

Keita’s classmate and childhood friend. Hoping to make some money off her family’s old belongings, she sells Keita items that happen to be possessed by supernatural beings.

Sheeta

Sheeta, is an angel determined to remove Maki from the human world and to save Keita's soul.

Pazu

Pazu, is a wind spirit and one of the twelve spirits that Maki can summon with her powers.

Tarot

Tarot, is the spirit of dragons. He was summoned alongside Tarte to save Keita from Sheeta.

Tarte

Tarte, is the spirit of love, who is also known as Moon Demon Astarte. She was summoned alongside Tarot.

Levi

Samurai-spirit Levi, is based upon the biblical creature Leviathan. Levi has a dragon-like tail and travels around as a masterless, wandering samurai.
