Nessa, a 400-year-old alpha female vampire and her mortal lover Frank, discover a casual encounter can lead to deeper feelings. Frank learns Nessa is engaged in a battle with a soul consuming demon that sent the werewolves after them. In an effort to track down and kill the demon, they must battle other vampires and more werewolves. Their romance survives the mayhem, but not without constant verbal bantering.
