Book Synopsis

After three thousand years of one-night stands, a girl just wants a little more.

Working for Satan is a hot gig. The Devil really does wear Prada, and Lily can sport all the dazzling fashion she desires, eat all the fabulous food she craves, and hang for all eternity with her three demon girlfriends. But serving up bad boys to the fiery pits of Hell is just getting... lonely.

Lily gives the jerks, the creeps, and the liars the best (and last) night of their lives, but she’s tired of waking up to a pile of ashes. She wants a guy who will stick around.

But a mysterious man is turning up the heat...

Nathan Coleman is a devilishly handsome, laid-back P.I. who wants to ask Lily a few questions about a missing man. But someone–or something–wants Lily and her friends dead, and Nathan seems to know more than he’ll admit to. Can a sweet-talking mortal and a girl from Hell find true love?

Lilith "Lily" Ad-Hzar is much more than she seems. Over three thousand years ago she was a minor Princess of Babylon and a Priestess of Ishtar. Now she is a succubus, a servant of Satan. Even more, she is one of Satan's inner circle. (Satan is normally seen as a female mortal.) Lily seduces only the creeps around her, takes them some place quiet for a little bed action, and once the men have had their moment of heaven with Lily, they automatically turn to ashes and are delivered to Satan's realm for the reward they so richly deserve. Of course, this makes Earth a little safer for the mortal females.

Lily has three great girlfriends. Desi is a Desire demon. Eros is the Eroticism demon. Sybil is a Greed demon with the gift/curse of prophecy. (She makes a killing on Wall Street in more ways than one.) So Lily has it all. Three great friends, a sympathetic uberboss with impeccable style and no worries about her figure. (She can eat anything and never gain an ounce.) With all those advantages, any woman should be totally happy. But after three thousand years being beautiful, thin, immortal, and serving up bad boys, Lily is beginning to feel lonely.

Nathan Coleman is devilishly handsome. He is a P.I. in the area looking for Craig Branford, a pharmacist from Long Island who has disappeared. Nathan's search has brought him to Lily's apartment in New York. He claims that he only wants to ask a few questions about the missing man; however, ever since Nathan has shown up, Lily and her demon girlfriends have been attacked by a hunting organization called Knight Defenders.

A terrific first novel for a new series where demons are not always the "bad guys" (or girls). Be warned that this is NOT a stand-alone book. Nothing is really resolved at all and will be continued in future books. Speaking of this, the next book will be titled Succubus Takes Manhattan and the release date will be around November 25, 2008. But in my opinion, this series is destined to be a winner! Fun, imaginative, wild, and sexy, this is one author that I cannot wait to read more from. Brava!
