Plot Summary

Adie’s life is a slippery slope she just can’t gain traction on. Every time she finds a foothold, she’s yanked back down to the bottom. Only this time, she knows who to blame for her most recent disaster. And revenge is at the top of her list, just as soon as she convinces K&B Financial to finally sign the loan she needs for her bakery.

With a little help, and a bit of manipulation, Adie’s determined to finally get ahead of the bad luck that plagues her. But is her resolve enough when it seems she’s destined to fail?
