A story with feeling, love and promise. I just wish there was time spent in telling the afterwards than there was.

Book Review

Lilian is enamoured with Selame, wanting to know her more than just being her hairdresser. But Selame has a problem, her brother, and when Lilian and Selame’s passions grew, the problem does as well.

Lilian isn’t a stereotypical succubus, and I found her explanation of herself interesting. She feeds on the sexual pleasures of those she is with, creating more pleasure for them both which then gives her more in return.

The story is a dance between Lilian and Selame, the two flirting, playing, slowly becoming more serious in their attraction to one another. This is told in a passionate, loving way that doesn’t simply move the two characters into bed together. There’s a strongly written plot that unfolds.

There is a twist in the story, it’s hopeful and brings acceptance by Lilian of who Selame really is. Telling that story through that connection takes this work into a very emotional place.

The work doesn’t focus on the erotica to the exclusion of all else. It’s loving and caring, telling and reinforcing the overall story. The characters are wonderful, the atmosphere and scenes are detailed.

I wish the ending was less abrupt. The final scenes offer much, but the ending just comes up short. I would have liked a little more closure, a hint of what comes next. The strength in this work are the characters, and in the last few paragraphs, something was missing.

Four out of five pitchforks.

A story with feeling, love and promise. I just wish there was time spent in telling the afterwards than there was.
