Life sucks in many ways for Chirella, the list is rather endless and being a succubus, a lot of the sucking isn’t at all fun. Getting involved in a martial dispute isn’t going to be fun either, but perhaps along the way there might be a surprise waiting for her as well.
The work is a fast paced mystery detective story with a lot of personality and snark along the way. It’s a bit scattered on the edges, a little hard to follow at times, but overall the main character’s personality and issues holds everything together and you really want to see what comes next.
It’s not really a work of succubus erotica, there’s very little of that to be found in the story, but Chirella, the main character is very much a succubus and seeing how she deals with her succubus and human sides is quite a story in itself. There are glimpses of her being a succubus, with horns, wings and tail, but overall it’s more her dealing with a problem in her human form with the occasional poke in the tail from her other side.
Overall the work is a lot of fun, the story and mystery has it’s moments as well. Chirella is just a force of nature and noting all of her quirks and notes along the way just brought me a smile too.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
It’s a shame this work wasn’t completed; it ends in something of a cliffhanger, and I do wonder what the story would have looked like going forwards. Still, it is a really engrossing tale, I thought that Chirella was quite a lot of fun and really one of the more unique succubus characters I’ve seen.
