Some choices are very bad ones, they tempt fate and bring to rise the darkness of the past. What treasure is worth one’s soul and what happens when there is no where to run.
The work is a very short, what I refer to as a pamphlet, horror story with a bit of erotica which comes through the succubus-like character appearing and entangling her past lover into her damnation. It’s a bit of an odd read, the story feels somewhat anime overall through the mood, the character names, and the imagery.
Aoi, the succubus of the story, is something more of a ghost or spirit of vengeance with something of a succubus nature to her. She is somewhere between being evil and being cursed to be so, but that works in the theme of the story.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
It’s a story with a succubus-like character rather than a succubus story, but it does manage to have the air of horror and mystery needed to bring the pieces of the story together. Works of horror aren’t my favourite by any means and this work left me a bit cold overall.
