The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, succubus erotic hot flash which rushes quickly through the sex, moving towards the climax, and then ending with a cliffhanger mystery to wonder about. The heat is a bit tepid, there’s a lot of thoughts from the succubus about what she is doing, her need, and that fits the sex well.

The succubus herself, who is never named, is something of an enigma, her physical form is a bit shaded, her powers are a bit mysterious, it’s all ethereal in what is revealed about her. It’s hard to say if she’s evil or just trapped in the need that never leaves and that’s an interesting thing to think about. But there’s not enough time to explore her character before the story abruptly ends and the questions are left behind.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

The book summary was at least honest about this being so very short. But it’s still written well and sets things up so that what was supposed to follow could take the main character onto what comes next. Except that didn’t happen, the ending leaves the questions never to be answered and that’s really a shame.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 2, 2018

A succubus needs to feed, it is their nature, their reason for existence. But not all meals are what they seem, some of them bite back.
