Sometimes you can do silly things, and for Robyn the idea of summoning an incubus leads to her playing at doing so. The problem is that while the summoning is a farce, she’s so horny that Brazinach just can’t resist her and she’ll discover what an incubus can really do.

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash which tends to rush through events to bring the main characters together as quickly as possible and turn the heat up to a boil. It’s quite a lot of fun, the story is both cute and scattered at the same time. But being so rushed is the problem as it would have been really nice to know more about Robyn and Brazinach beyond their encounter and who, and what, came next.

Brazinach, the incubus of the story, is a bit odd overall. He’s not evil or stereotypical, it’s more that his personality and presence felt a bit strange. He is an incubus, without question, but more towards being a demon of sex overall than much else. He fits the story, brings the main character to climax and there are some silly moments as well. But with that said, there’s also a lot of things hinted at or skimmed over that really needed to be explored as they just made me wonder about him.

It’s really far too rushed overall as a story, but the work being so short and the need to get to the erotica sort of makes that unavoidable. The story has its moments. the characters are interesting and there is heat, but at the same times it’s a bit too awkward and lost. With that said, this could have been turned into something deeper and more delightful, to give the story and characters time to develop and that would have been interesting.

Three out of five pitchforks.

The work ends in a rather abrupt way that felt, again, too rushed. There’s a really good hook left for a following story however that is a bit different. Overall, the question left behind is the mystery and what that could have become.

Plot Summary

Robyn is thirsty, and decides to mimic an incubus summoning ritual she saw in a video. A non-believer in the supernatural, she doesn't believe anything will come out of it other than a night of self-pleasure. What if it does work though...? Will he be enough to quench her thirst or will he be too much for her to handle?

Book Review
