Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on January 8, 2019
Sometimes a house is more than a house and sometimes a ghost story is a lot more than a story. Sophia discovers that the story about a haunted house isn’t quite all of the story and finding Rebecca there to tell the tale gives her more than she expected.
The work is a very short, what I refer to as a pamphlet, piece of succubus themed erotica which adds a bit of possession and futa aspects as well. It’s a bit rushed at times, the narrative and dialogue feels a bit shoehorned in at times, which is a shame.
The story and characters are interesting, the mythos works well and there are some really unique moments along the way that take the succubus character Rebecca on some unexpected tangents. She’s not evil as such, but she is focused on desire and passion with a bit of a mystery behind her which isn’t quite explored as much as I wanted it to be.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It’s a shame the story is so short, there’s quite a lot that could have been done but wasn’t. Where things end is really an interesting question to wonder about and it feels like this week really needs to be explored more and expanded on. It’s just such a concept and such a unique succubus character that leaving things like this seems like such a shame.
