Overall, the main focus is, as happened in the first work in the series, Harold’s gender transformation, his exploration of her new self, and then the monster of the story is dealt with. It’s quite fast paced, which is a bit of a shame really as it felt like the incubus was a means to an end and doing more with them would have been interesting.

The incubus of the story, who is never named, isn’t exactly evil. While the incubus is central to the story, it is, as are much of this author’s works, more focused on the gender transformation aspects overall. It’s still a lovely read, the characters have their moments and there is a lot to enjoy. With that all said, the next work in the series is so much more interesting by far.

Plot Summary

Monster Pounders: Monsters Hunted, Pounded, Removed.

Do you have problems with irritating monsters living near you? Pixie nests? Gnome infestations? Even more exotic pests? Call Monster Pounders today! The Monster Pounders, Logan, Wes, and Harold, have had success with their new monster-hunting business, taking out a satyr that was rampaging through the women of a small mountain community in Arkansas. Sure, Harold had needed to take a potion that turned him into a woman to act as bait for the creature, but it worked.

Now they have another job. An incubus is bothering the women of a local college, and the daughter of a powerful man has already turned up pregnant because of the creature’s activities. It looks like it’s time for Harold to take another potion and do his…or HER best to act as bait to draw in the incubus! But can she resist the creature’s charms long enough for the others to capture it?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 24, 2019

There is always another monster that needs to be dealt with, and Harold and his group of friends are up for the action. An incubus is having their way with the women of a college and something needs to be done about it. Taking one for the team again, Harold becomes a woman and the incubus isn’t going to pass her up.

The work follows on from the prior story in the series, which feels something like a teenage mystery adventure with quite a lot of silliness mixed in. It is a lot of fun, the characters have their voices and presence, which makes everything work really well. The erotic heat is a bit flat for the most part, it’s a bit detached from the story in a way.

They are more focused on their need as an incubus, which then takes the story to the erotic encounter between Harold in her new form and the incubus. Their powers as an incubus are more in dreams however, which really felt like something was missing. It would have been interesting to know more about them, perhaps have an encounter in the world and see where that went.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

While the incubus is central to the story, it is, as are much of this author’s works, more focused on the gender transformation aspects overall. It’s still a lovely read, the characters have their moments and there is a lot to enjoy. With that all said, the next work in the series is so much more interesting by far.
