Lilith is bored, and a bored succubus is not a good thing, not that Lilth really is ever a good succubus of course. But there’s a problem in her way and she’s going to get past that problem and to the Earth no matter how hard things will become.

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash with a bit of a story around the edges, but it’s mostly focused on the main character having her way with a trio of demons to escape hell. It’s a fun little tale, there’s actually a lot going for it, but it’s light on story and mostly is about the sex scene. That scene is so very much over the top, but Lilith’s personality makes it more fun than I expected and by the climax, I found myself rather adoring her.

Lilith, the succubus of the work, is very much a seductress and schemer who delights in her powers as a succubus and all of the terribly naughty things she can, and will do. There is a touch of evil in her character, but it’s not too overt. She is naughty, without question, and so dearly manipulative, but that adds a lot to her character. As for her succubus nature, it’s a bit on the edge of the story, but there’s hints of her power as well, which I thought was well done too.

Three out of five pitchforks.

As dearly short as this work is, it does offer a glimpse into Lilith’s personality and what will drive her through the series. I would have liked a bit more story about her, a little more depth the than there was here. We’ll see what the next work in the series offers and I hope that it’s something more than a sexiest with a little bit of story to tie things together.

Plot Summary

Lilith is tired of work. Tired of the same old grind. She wants to get out of Hell and take a vacation on the surface. As a succubus, she wants to seduce a few humans. They keep telling her no, but she's not going to let that stop her. As she slips up to the New York City gate to the surface, she's grinning at the three lower demons who guard it. They're no match for her powers of seduction. And who knows, maybe she'll even have some fun herself.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on June 28, 2019
