The incubus of the work, Nick, is not at all stereotypical which gives his character some space to grow in the story. He’s sure and unsure in himself and that gives a certain humanity to him. Written well, the story builds the heat in the erotica slowly and that works well. It does get a bit silly at a few points, but that doesn’t take away from the story as a whole. Four out of five pitchforks.
I’d really like to see a follow on work, mainly to see where the story goes and what their relationship becomes. It might be, based on a comment in the story, possible for Vanessa to become a succubus and that would be something to see. Lots of heat and lots of fun, it’s worth a read.

Plot Summary
I've heard of love at first sight, but the lust I feel when I first see him enter the Halloween party has me reeling. I don't even know his name. But there's something special about him, something dark and seductive... almost devilish despite his friendly appearance.
I only came here as back-up for my friend to meet a date, now I can't get all the ways I'd like this guy to bend me over out my head. While the heat pools between my legs, I tell myself it couldn't actually happen. It's all just daydreams. Fantasy.
I never expected him to come talk to me, to invite me away from the others. I can't believe I accepted. I know it's crazy, but I have to know what it's like to be with him. He just breathes at me and my panties are ready to fly off.
If this goes wrong and I end up dead or something, I just hope someone hides my vibe and deletes my search history!

It’s not the best decision Vanessa has ever made. Going to a Halloween party with a friend, and not expecting much, seems to add up to nothing. But an encounter with a horny devil might change more than her mind.
The work is an amusing mix of humour, mystery and erotica that meshes together really well. Vanessa is delightfully smart, sharp witted and isn’t at all afraid of taking some risks for the right reasons, or person. Her internal monologue is quite telling, but more so it gives her a lot of depth and it’s fun to see where her thoughts, and her reactions, take her in the course of the story.
The incubus of the work, Nick, is not at all stereotypical which gives his character some space to grow in the story. He’s sure and unsure in himself and that gives a certain humanity to him. I liked that while his nature did take over at times, and it took the story in some delicious directions, he cared about Vanessa and it showed in many ways.
Written well, the story builds the heat in the erotica slowly and that works well. It does get a bit silly at a few points, but that doesn’t take away from the story as a whole. It would have been nice to possibly see this encounter from Nick’s view as well, but that’s a minor nitpick to what otherwise is a fun and hot incubus story.
