For those tat enjoy BDSM, and some rather painful examples of it, it will be interesting. But I wanted more of the story, the characters and the mythos to be explored than it really was here.

Plot Summary

I've heard of selling your soul to pass your university classes, but this is ridiculous. My new Master summoned me from the depths of Hell.

He wants me to serve him. My job is to tempt him into giving up what Hell wants most...his soul. But there's more to this man than meets the eye. I'm starting to wonder, is it the magic spell that keeps me kneeling at his feet....or my own submissive desires?

There are always plans within plans, fates hidden away to be revealed unexpectedly. What seems to be a simple matter of an infernal deal doesn’t quite turn out that way for Empusa. Nothing is exactly what it seems and making a succubus angry never goes well.

The work is a very complicated story of domination and submission with a very strong fantasy-mystery tone. The characters are complex, the story is every bit as much so as well. While there are erotic aspects to the story, the focus is very much on BDSM themes and the extremes they can go to. How the story is written sets itself to be meant for a certain audience and at times the succubus theme is overwhelmed by the BDSM aspects.

Empusa, the succubus, of the work, is at times very contradictory with her nature, personality, wants and desires. She is very much a schemer, a plotter ad has a specific goal in mind. At the same time she’s a rather unique succubus, being focused on aspects of domination and the harsh treatment of her submissives. At the story progresses, that shifts somewhat, the plot transforms her character and she is far more interesting at the close than she ws at the beginning.

With that said, this is a complicated and deeply involving story, but the amount of pain and suffering that is explored I didn’t enjoy at all. While that is part and parcel of the story and the characters themselves, it took away much of what I enjoyed every time it happened.

Three out of five pitchforks.

For those tat enjoy BDSM, and some rather painful examples of it, it will be interesting. But I wanted more of the story, the characters and the mythos to be explored than it really was here.
