Neve was innocent, caring, and very much a good girl. But evil delights in corrupting those to its own purposes and Neve will be no exception to that rule. Neve, the main character who is transformed into being a succubus, is very much evil when all is said and done. It’s very clear from the first hints of her transformation that she will be a succubus, it’s just a matter of how long that takes. As the story unfolds and her personality and form transforms, it’s so very close to be stereotypical at many points but just verges away slightly to avoid that. That’s not to say she’s not evil, she very much is, but it is the struggle and fall which was the most interesting. | |||
When fully transformed, Neve is physically completely different from who she was, and her new personality matches that. Her physical form, wings, horns, tail, red skin and all, is deliciously evil and tempting, which was perfect by far. | |||
As Neve was a librarian, and I have a certain delight in that being where succubi might appear, it felt like a shame that the story left that behind. It could have been interesting to have the library corrupted as well, possibly spilling over to those entering and becoming Neve’s playthings. But that didn’t happen and so what came was a story about succubus corruption, a really delicious one, but leaving a lot of threads dangling. | |||
