Highly Recommended

I highly recommend this series. It's probably one of my favorite mangas. The anime was... hit or miss, mostly hit. They changed some things in the first episode to fit more fanservice in, but got back on track by episode 2. You can basically skip the last 2 episodes though, they set up a silly plot hook to bring closure which has nothing to do with the original manga.

They did introduce the school and Lotte / Asuha's classmates fairly early, but around the same time the anime was showing they were introduced in the manga, so it all evens out.

It's by far the cleanest perverted manga I've read in a while. The entire setup is outrageous -- a 10 year old who will, very shortly, need to keep a harem of men. (What she has to do with said harem changes based on if you're reading the manga or watching the anime. In the manga, they are quite open about what Sauzfryma really is -- semen. In the anime, they imply all he has to is let her kiss him a few times every few days.)

In both works though, Naoya's empathy and understanding is pretty much spot on, and outside of random bouts of hilarity it remains really clean.

Still, I wouldn't pay $90 for a figurine of the silly thing. ;) KiTA 02:19, 21 November 2011 (PST)
