'''''Evil Angel''''' is an upcoming American horror film starring Ving Rhames, [[Ava Gaudet]], Kristopher Shepard, and Richard Dutcher, who also directed, wrote, edited, and produced the film. Dutcher describes the film as "an updated take on the [[Lilith]] myth". While this movie does have a being named Lilith in it, she is less of a succubus than a possessing ghost. The movie does show some traits of Lilith being a succubus, such as her having demon wings, the use of sex as a means to trap her prey and the back story of Lilith is discussed. However, there are a number of liberties taken with the Succubus myth. As well, Lilith in this movie is termed as a serial killer, thus putting a particular spin on the Lilith myths.

Evil Angel is an upcoming American horror film starring Ving Rhames, Ava Gaudet, Kristopher Shepard, and Richard Dutcher, who also directed, wrote, edited, and produced the film. Dutcher describes the film as "an updated take on the Lilith myth".

Ving Rhames (his previous films include Mission: Impossible, Pulp Fiction, and Dawn of the Dead) stars as John Carruthers, a detective in pursuit of Lilith. Co-starring are two newcomers: Kristopher Shepard and Ava Gaudet (Broadway 's Rent) whom is cast in the role of Lilith/Carla. Cinematographer Bill Butler (Jaws, Grease, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) was the lead filmographer, John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Ghost Ship, Thir13en Ghosts) composed the film's score and Digiscope (Van Helsing, Terminator: Rise of the Machines, The Mummy Returns) created the visual effects.[1]

Plot

Richard Dutcher says of this film that: "It's an updated take on the Lilith myth. According to Kabbalistic mythology, Lilith was Adam’s first wife in the Garden of Eden. Adam didn't like her because she wasn't submissive enough, so God banished her from the garden. She's been wreaking havoc on earth ever since, and let's just say I was interested in capturing some of that havoc on film."[2]

It is also described at the film distributor's website as: Evil Angel takes the ancient myth of Lilith into the 21st. century with a murderously sexy and seductive villainess who, as the earth’s first woman, proudly lays claim to being the world’s first serial killer. When Lilith, Adam’s first wife, refused to submit to his authority, she was cast from the Garden of Eden and replaced by Eve. Infuriated, Lilith has been taking revenge on Adam and Eve’s children ever since.

One summary of the film described it as: When paramedic Marcus Galan’s wife is brought back to life after a suicide attempt, she’s not the same person she was before. This woman-whoever she is-can go from sugar and spice to downright demonic in the blink of an eye. Now someone has gone on a vicious killing spree, and the police are helpless to stop it. Slowly Marcus realizes this mysterious woman is actually Lilith, a wicked, avenging spirit with her sights on everyone Marcus knows and loves.
