The work is an erotic hot flash wrapped around a mystery and intrigue which seeps throughout the story as things slowly unfold. It’s a bit guarded at some points to get to the truth, but with that comes a lot of character development and world building that fascinated me.

The erotica simmers throughout with flashes of amazing passion and temptation that works really well. It’s never sex for the sake of it, there is a point, a purpose and as the truth comes out, that is so very evident.

Harmony, the succours of the story, her mother Lilith is mentioned in passing only, is a very complicated character with needs and desires, but also a darkness cast over her that both main characters need to find the way out of. A bit of a tease, a seductress yes, but as well what she hides within, and what the story reveals by the climax, is really so very surprising when it comes out.

Four out of five pitchforks.

The work closes in a lovely place, though I would have liked a little bit of a postscript to the story. Given what Lilith did to her daughter, that’s an aspect of things that would have been interesting to see taken to its conclusion. Still, the story, the twists and the close are all a delight and a lovely read.

Plot Summary

The Angel Uriel has been tasked with securing a truce with the Demon Queen to help secure a win for Him and His followers in the war between Heaven and Hell. The only problem is Uriel hates Harmony, the succubus who now reigns over the demons he's been sent to recruit to their fight.

Harmony loves being Queen. The power thrills her, but she longs for the one thing she lost long ago. When Uriel walks back into her life, she's determined to keep him forever. She needs the Angel more than she'll ever admit. And if He wants His truce, He'll give her what she wants.

Can an Angel and a Demon reconcile their past for the greater good?

Book Review

y.They say one should never anger a succubus. They never forget, they never forget what was done to them. But they also remember what others cannot and when the past returns to Harmony, she finds the past cannot remember and she needs to do that for both of them.
