Succubi in the Heroes of Newerth video game by S2 Games are an Intelligence disabler/ganker type of hero. Their damage output combined with their very strong disables make them a devastating hero in any lineup within the game.


Description

Many a soldier of the Legion has disappeared on solitary watches when the Succubus is at large, lured by her seductive calls. Swollen with stolen life, this demon offers no true pleasure to those who succumb to her advances. but all the same her name carries a certain terrible allure.


Playing Strategy

A Succubus is an Intelligence disabler/ganker. Her damage output combined with her very strong disables make her a devastating hero in any lineup. For best results, Succubus should solo middle. She will have a tougher time if she dual lanes.

Mesmerize is a unique disable, in that when cast on someone, if they are attacked, the disable is broken and the attacker is in turn disabled. Make sure not to use this disable on an enemy who you or an ally is attacking so they are not punished instead.

Succubus' Hold is a damage over time ability that disables the target while you channel it. Make sure to use this ability when you can not be disabled, which will interrupt the ability. This ability has very good synergy with the item Puzzlebox.

You can summon the Puzzlebox minions before channeling your ultimate, allowing you to do extra damage to the target with the minions while you and the target are occupied.

Mesmerize

  • Succubus mesmerizes a target. The target becomes completely disabled, and takes some damage over time. If any unit attacks the mesmerized target, the effects are passed to them.

Mesmerize Effect

The mesmerize spell is a very unique spell.

After being inflicted with Mesmerize, you will be completely invulnerable for a the first second. During this time, you cannot be targeted by any direct spells or attacks, and you will not take damage from AoE spells. During the remainder of Mesmerize, no damage that would not break mesmerize will damage you, except for mesmerize itself. Examples of this are Slither's and Salforis' ultimate abilities, that will completely cease to do damage for the duration of mesmerize.
