Plot Summary

The Fallen is so hot, you'll want an Incubus of your own. Demons beware of Chloe, she'll make a meal out of you. Who to choose? The lesser of two evils, but which one is that?

Chloe has just found that her boyfriend has died. His ghost keeps popping up and her memories are fuzzy.

When she stops taking her meds, her memories flood back and she remembers who the killer is... except things aren't what they seem. Two demons, one ghost, and a human... an erotic novella you won't forget.

Book Review

Memories are a strange thing, sometimes they hide the truth to protect what we never wanted to know. But sometimes the truth had its own way to be heard, for it answers a question and gives the one who remembers a reason to live.

The work is a very complicated mixture of mystery, loss, discovery and desire which draws the main characters into situations which tend to spiral out of control more often than not. At the same time, there’s a need within each to seek what they are each missing and come to terms with it. While there are passages of erotica, they are more to add some spice to all else and aren’t really what drives the story forwards.

It’s that complicated plot and how the main characters deal with their choices, good and bad, and where that takes them all that makes the entire story work. Given that, they being human, ghost or incubus, really is less important than what happens between them all and the climax which comes.

Miles, the incubus of the story, is very much an atypical incubus throughout. He does have aspects of an incubus in form, action and personality, bat as well there’s a certain morality to him that I thought was really quite refreshing.

Three out of five pitchforks.

How the story ends works well for the characters, it closes a lot of the plot and overall it feels right in many ways. What the future holds for all of the characters is a question in itself, but this is a complete story regardless. A very emotional story, an interesting read as well.
