Plot Summary
The main character, Lord Cedric de Romulus, is posing as a demon hunting knight. He is a creation of the Dark Sorceress Morrighan who used the Black Arts to breed the King Incubus with a rare vampiric being called a moroi. To shake rumors of him being an abomination, Cedric takes a Lady of the Court as a bride, but initially intends to use her for nothing more as bait. As the story progresses, he struggles to keep his incubus wants in check while questioning his own quest to gain power. He seeks to take down those who have done him wrong which involves Morrighan for his creation and Romasanta, the father of werewolves, for digging up the graves of his loved ones. Slowly the two characters, Angeline and Cedric, fall in love as their need for each other becomes more resolute. Cedric starts to discover more about his abilities, and thus challenges the King Incubus in hopes of overthrowing him as King.
Incubus and Succubus
Cedric de Romulus
Cedric is the main character in this story who is considered an abomination. He is the creation of dark magic used to combine an incubus with a moroi. A moroi is the result of two vampires who truly love each other and are easily recognized by their read hair and green eyes. All moroi are female and sterile with a reputation to live longer than humans and have ungodly stamina and strength. His father is the King Incubus himself, who bred with a moroi who was made fertile from Sorceress Morrighan's practice of black arts. Overall he is the combination of several medieval lores mixed with the Medieval Russian Knight Hero Legend, Ilya Muromets.
Queen Succubus Lillith
Mother of all incubus and succubus, she scours the land to claim new mates. Once the world's supply of these demons has been depleted she seeks out the strongest of all incubus, normally the current King. In between tending to her brood, she is rumored to bond herself with mates just to take pleasure in torturing them. She is a mixture of several lores and myths involving both Lilith and succubus across the world.
King Incubus Boto
Boto is the King of Incubus and father to Cedric. He is bond to the Sorceress Morrighan and serves as the general to her army of chimeras. The name Boto is taken from the Amazon River Dolphin, also name Boto. In this area of the world it is said that these Dolphins shapeshift into handsome men and show up to parties and large gatherings. They are well-known for impregnating women and disappearing back into the river.
