Plot Summary
"I want you," she said, her voice filled with longing. He smiled, his eyes dark with desire. "And I want you," he said, his voice filled with promise. He pulled her close, his body pressing against hers. She could feel his heat, his desire, and she knew that she was his. He kissed her, his lips soft and warm. She moaned, her body shaking with pleasure.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 28, 2024
As the work doesn’t have a summary, the above is a snippet from the story, this work could be described as: Two souls meet in the depths of the night and passions, the fire between them brought to heights anew.
The work is a very short hot flash piece of erotica which tells of the encounter between what can be called an incubus and the woman that desires him. Their names are never revealed, the story is all about them being entwined together and their cries of passion.
While the title of the work suggests there is an incubus as one of the characters, there’s really no clear evidence of him being such, there are no horns or tail for example. That’s not to say he doesn’t act like one however. He’s passionate, the desire between him and the female character is lovely and hot.
The story begins in a way that it feels like this is their first time together and much of the erotica reads and feels that way. However there’s a point in the story where that comes to odds with something the female character revealed and it bothers me a bit. Perhaps there’s meant to be a passage of time between the two parts of the story here, but it reads a little odd as a result.
The story allows for a bit of character development, a connection beyond the sex to form and that worked well I thought to make their relationship more. But the focus as a whole is on the sex between the two, the cries of passion and it’s a bit of a shame.
I’d loved to have more of an opening, the characters to be named, even a bit more clarity on the male character being an incubus or not. There’s an interesting story floating around the edges which doesn’t really come out and more the shame it didn’t.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
This feels like bits and pieces of a larger work and I can see where that could be taken from what’s here. The beginning could be explored, how they met, why they are drawn to each other. The erotic scenes could be drawn out more, used to transform their relationship and the characters themselves. It’s the possibilities here that interest me and it would be something to explore.
