Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 2, 2025

Minnie had been told that the day would come that her true self would appear. She expected it, and having arrived, she’s suffering through it all. But her sister Connie is there to help. That’s what succubi sisters are for, aren’t they?

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, sort of coming-of-age story with a bit of succubus transformation and erotica mixed in. With that said, there’s a lot of character development, time is spent telling of the relationship between the main characters and how things developed to this point in their lives. It’s not really about the erotica, the sex scene is rather short and to the point, quickly turning to the aftermath before coming to a close.

The main characters, Minnie and Connie are described as being succubi, their powers are clearly shown as well. But there are no horns or tails, they are human with the aspects of succubi than anything else. It’s a shame that wasn’t explored more as there are a lot of questions when the story comes to a close.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

It’s a shame this work is so dearly brief as it is. There’s a lot of background that is skimmed over and leaves a lot to be wondered about. The work closes in an odd way, it’s just a bit tinged with horror and loss, a little longing as well. It’s an interesting aspect of things overall. It would be interesting to see a follow on story, to see what happens next, to delve into this version of the succubi in a more meaningful way too.
