Plot Summary
Two Novels of Horror both are tales of dark seduction, which at times deal with the dual nature of man, who can be so at odds with his own darkness and yet so easily led into the dark. Both are in the Gothic vein, but are set in a modern atmosphere.
- The Shadow of the Succubus: A writer is seduced by the ghost of a woman from the prohibition era; this leads him to a horror-filled experience that threatens his sanity and then his life.
- The Eternal Thirst: A vampire hunter named Montresor is obsessed with the destruction of a centuries-old French duchess, and pursues her through the streets and tombs of New Orleans.

In this first novel, "the Shadow of the Succubus", a writer checks into a Vermont Inn to recover his muse. He gets more than he bargained, not only with the colorful townspeople but there is a haunted hotel thrown in, to boot! In the second novel, "the Eternal Thirst" Condenzio has an outstanding story of a demon hunter. Forget "Van Helsing: The Movie". This is the blood chilling drama without the over-the-top Hollywood camp. In both I found the prose robust and articulate (reminds me of the late Clark Ashton Smith) and the characters and scenes were vivid. Whether you like Josh Whelan's "Angel" or just like neo-gothic suspense, then this one is for you. If "Shadow" is patterned after Wilde, I found in "Thirst" homage to his friend "Stoker".
Paramount Pictures Option
On September 26, 2010, an announcement was posted at the French language website Place To Be that this novel has been optioned by Paramount Pictures for further development into a motion picture.[1] The deal focuses upon the story The Shadow of the Succubus. The author John Condenzio confirmed this in an email conversation with Tera of Succubus.net as well around the same time frame.
