Plot Summary
It's a poorly kept secret in either of the two dimensions that eighteen year old Briq Afton is the Gifted world's most powerful being. Cursed by her own mother before she was even born, Briq spends her time at college working hard and playing the martyr to her ever-burgeoning Power--all in attempt to dispell her mother's notion that she's the devil's spawn. She's a hungry succubus with a shapeshifting human Familiar (who also happens to be a Witch) at her side, but Briq continues to deny her nature. Problems arise when she's sought out by the father that abandoned her years before as a daughter-for-hire and is tapped by her bestfriend, De'Mon, to help solve the mystery of his mother's abuse and his boyfriend's douchiness. The compromised Blood Bust and the blue haired Raucoran offender who helped her father steal it only add to her problems, forcing Briq to recognize that as much as she desires to quell her dark half, she needs it to to do the good that she's capable of.
