Valia is a Succubus NPC character created by Hank Woon who appeared in the Demonblade adventure published in Dungeon magazine issue 97. As her role in this adventure was very limited, little character information or statistics were provided for her. The only note made of her situation or character was that she was the Mistress of Thaylak, another NPC character in the adventure, whom the players encounter and battle before encountering Valia. None of her physical characteristics are given.

Character Information

Valia appears when the characters enter her bed chambers and she will then approach the players. She will try to seduce the strongest looking male character in the group and control them with her powers. She will not attempt to fight the players and if things turn bad for her, she will teleport away to the roof of the building they find her in before sounding the alarm about the players being there to her thrall Thaylak.

Assuming the players conclude the adventure correctly, upon completion, Valia will flee the town and will see the players as her enemy in the future, should she encounter them.

Statistics

As per the standard Succubus statistics found in the Monster Manual, page 41. She has 29 Hit Points.

Assuming the players defeat or otherwise overcome Valia, they can recover the twin swords of Akia which are hidden underneath Valia's bed. The items are protected by a spell trap, for which clues to the method of deactivation can be found elsewhere in the adventure.
