The Succubus' Prayer
by: Scarlet Darkness

I want to say I'm happy, but these tears suggest otherwise.
I want to touch the sun, but I think I'll burn inside.
I want to reach the heavens, but all I have is hell.
I think that I am insane, and that I will never be well.

A placid smile across my face, too pretty for you to be stern.
A hollow cavern in its place, can you even discern?
A wicked day that I foretell, when this is future past.
A time when no one will care, and I can die at last.

Tell me all your secrets, conceed to me your sins.
Tell me what you want from me, fall prey to my concealed whim.
Be submissive to my onyx eyes, seduced by every single taunt.
Be wary of the beast inside, and with my voice I'll haunt.

Don't think that I will fall away, nor that I will give in.
Even though sometimes I whisper that my will to live grows thin.
Patience is the key in this, though I will not tell you why.
Just know that I am here right now, but I will leave if you cry.

Cold and hated deep inside, tortured without a cause.
Ridden of my hopes and dreams, taunted without pause.
A demon to man's desire, a wicked succubus.
I am the holder of your wishes, I am the keeper of your lust.
