Plot Summary

After accepting a set of lingerie that would turn him into a buxom blonde woman whenever he likes, Mike has come to owe a ravishing succubus one ultimate favor.

His task is to test a new set of bra and panties that transform at the command of a magical remote. What he doesn't realize is that as the lingerie transforms, so will he! What's worse, it's Derora's husband Gabe, a handsome and powerful man, that's in control of the remote!

Shifting from blonde to brunette, Asian to Redhead, each of Mikayla's bodies is hotter than the last. It's not long before she's desperate for more. Will Mikayla be able to keep her sanity under the ministrations of a succubus and her sexy lover?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 14, 2017

Mike finds himself at the beck and call of Derora once more, she asking him to fulfil that last favour she wants from him. His transformations before weren’t in his control, but this time Mikayla will see who she really is and what she really wants. The question then is, what is it that Mike wants as well?

As the other works in this series, the main focus is on Mike’s gender transformation, an exploration of his, now her, new body and then a short scene of erotica before the story comes to a close. Much like the other parts of the series, there’s a rush to get to the transformation scenes which tends to take some really interesting side plots and ideas and push them to the side.

Being that the core of the story are the transformations, and Mike’s reactions to them, there’s a feeling of something missing overall. That’s mainly in the little teasing flashes about what Mike, or Mikayla, has been through, the flashes of Derora and her world, and a seeming lack of heat when the erotica comes to the fore.

The erotica is a single hot flash which, overall, didn’t really have all that much heat in it. The scene begins, starts to become interesting, but then sort of fades out with a single sentence. It’s disappointing as the prior works had more heat and more focus in the erotica in comparison.

That then brings the question of Derora and her husband. As characters I think they are delightfully captivating and fun. I liked them very much in how they related to each other and the playful aspects of a succubus in love with her mate. I also liked that there was a bit more focus on Derora being a succubus, in her form and what drives her. What’s missing however is that while there’s more learned about Derora, there’s even more questions raised about her, the company she owns as well. Then comes the connections she has with other succubi in other series written by this author which aren’t explored at all.

While Derora is far more present in this work than she was in the others, this isn’t a story, or series, about her. She is the catalyst for what happens, but beyond that the fleshing out of her character doesn’t go as far as I’d have liked it to. It’s a major part of what’s missing here, at least from the perspective of there being a succubus story here overall.

The characters are interesting, Mike, or rather Mikayla however doesn’t quite complete her development. Derora is fleshed out more, but again there’s a lot left suggested, teased, but not told. The story feels very rushed, the erotica needs more heat. The transformations are rushed as well, and having so many in one story, fleeting though they are, takes something away.

The work ends on a note that seems to promise something more and if that happens I hope that there will be more time spent in drawing Mikayla deeper into Derora’s world and exploring it more fully. That would be really interesting and I would like to see that sometime. There’s too many plots and ideas simmering to be left to languish otherwise.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

While Derora was more present in the story, there’s not really a lot of heat in the erotica, there are far too many quick transformations that don’t lead to anything as well. What’s more bothersome is all of the teasing about Derora and her husband, what their company does and most of all, an ending that just felt like it was tacked on.

There really needed to be more time spent in developing the characters, playing off some of the tangential thoughts and ideas that never were. Given how the series ended, there’s more story to be told, but how that comes together is the question. At some point the threads need to be gathered up and something more told. Perhaps it will sometime.
