Plot Summary

Matthew McGuire spent a few months under the not-so-tender mercies of Nefarius just after he turned eighteen. Now, ten years later, he's saving the world every other day and trying to keep the monster Nefarius put inside him happy.

Danny Harlow knows what lives inside Matty, and loves him all the more for it, but he's not enough for Matthew and he never will be. When the woman he’s spying on gets her hands on Matty, Danny is willing to do anything to keep the man he’s loves happy, even if it means learning to love the enemy.

When Melanie St. Vincent starts asking questions about Nefarius, Matty's monster gets defensive, jealous, and... attracted? His attraction might kill her but, it could be worse, Nefarius could want her to find him.
