Plot Summary

Tell the truth. At some point in your life you have looked at the dull people around you and indulged in the fantasy that you were switched at birth, but most of us grow out of it by adolescence. Our heroine is long past adolescence but she has secretly held onto the dream of inner awesomeness. But when the fantasy turns out to be true, well, more-or-less, an existential crisis ensues. She is not a princess as she hoped but an immortal creature in human form - and it is all so different from what she has learned from the movies. She wants answers but her new-found family thinks she's "not ready" to be told the whole truth. So she takes off and plunges into the world of Lucy the seductive enchantress, Maureen the prosperous discoverer, and Annie the terrifying baobhan-sith - the immortals who live amongst us. With their help she sorts out the fact from the fiction, and the reality from the fantasy, to uncover the truth behind the historical fictions.
