Plot Summary

Since she was a teen, Dahlia has known that intimacy with her can lead to tragic consequences for those she loves, but she doesn’t know why. Afraid of her unknown abilities, she has locked her desire away, only to have her body fall prey to a wasting illness that no doctor can diagnose.

All that changes when she meets Thomas Wright. He introduces Dahlia to the world of the Kin, reveals her nature as a succubus, and teaches her to begin to control her powers.

Her body starts to heal, and Dahlia comes to understand the power that comes with accepting her own sexuality, even as she sees that emotional attachments can have their dangers as well. Love is deadly for the succubi, and yet she cannot help her growing feelings for Thomas. Her physical hunger is finally sated, but the need in her heart deepens.
