Plot Summary
- Ascend: Arya and Xavier live normal lives with their single mom in small town Colorado. At least until the evening of their sixteenth birthday when they are confronted with a shocking reality. Their mom is Lilith, legendary first wife of Adam, and the first true witch created by the Goddess in Her image. The twins ascend to claim their birthright and discover that even in the supernatural realm, they are unique. As royal half-nephilim, half-witch beings, dark forces work to create a world of chaos. The academy of magical beings can’t protect them from ancient family vendettas and unknown peril. It’s the adventure of a lifetime, if they can survive it. Do they have what it takes to thrive in a world where monsters are real? Can they endure the archaic drama they were born into long enough to see who they will become? An inclusive and diverse cast of characters help, or hinder, the twins as they navigate a realm where the myths are true and insanity rules.
- Descend: Arya and Xavier thought learning the truth about their mother being the original witch and Queen of Hell was a lot, but the supernatural calamity doesn’t end when the twins flee the academy to for the safety of their father’s kingdom. The magical mayhem proves the twins know nearly nothing about their new reality. From the overwhelming expectations of being the heirs to Hell to the prophecies foretelling the destruction of Heaven and Hell, the twins find they are wildly unprepared. Not only is living under their father’s roof more than they bargained for, their mother is missing. She’s been kidnapped by a human terror group hellbent on destroying all of the Goddess's creations. The twins' bond has always been their strength, but now they face enemies from all sides. Betrays from those they trusted most threaten to tear them apart. After all, in Hell chaos reigns. Can they find safe haven from the onslaught of enemies, or will they face their own undoing?
