Plot Summary
Everything was easier when I was dead...
Isabelle Collins, formerly living woman of twenty eight years of age, wondered just which god she'd pissed off to earn the life she'd lived. Her life had been a series of unfortunate events starting with being tortured for years by an incubus, bearing two of his sons, and then dying with the boys when their father razed the house to the ground to 'cut off lose ends'. If it weren't for the kind necromancer who'd brought her back she would have turned around and climbed back into her grave, but something about those golden eyes called to her.
Forcing herself to live as a ghoul while dealing with the grief of losing her sons brings many new obstacles, none of which she's the slightest prepared for. Good thing she has Vladimir, the half orc who'd raised her from the grave. With his help, she'll make her way back to living again. Of course, this would be easier if she didn't fall for him...but life loved laughing at her.
A raging infatuation, grief unlike any she'd dealt with in her life, and an enemy out for their necks. What could possibly go wrong?
