Plot Summary
When Rosalyn is brought to the master bedroom to marry Damon, a man she's never seen before, she is terrified. Rosalyn has many questions facing her, not just who Damon is, or what he wants from her. The path ahead seems shaded in mystery. As for Damon, he holds a secret from far in the past which has guided his life and his honour. In the revelation that comes, neither will be quite the same again.
The work tells an emotional journey of the characters through which some heartfelt development brings them to be far more than where the story begins. There is a wonderful romantic undercurrent which leads into passionate erotic moments as well. Beyond that, the secret Damon carries when revealed is both so deeply sad and yet so hopeful which I just adored.
Damon in this work is described as being a succubus. though I feel that incubus is a better description. He’s not evil, not by any means and certainly is not stereotypical. A tenderness towards Rosalyn carries throughout which gives depth to his character than was striking.
While there are moments of erotica, there’s actually very little exploration of Damon being something of a sex demon. There is passion which is wonderful, but not over the top of makes their relationship less for happening. It’s more of an encounter between two souls who over time open themselves to each other and the possibilities they have before them.
It’s less a succubus or incubus story than it is a story with a bit of that theme within the pages. As a fantasy romance it’s delightful and enthralling and, in that respect, quite delightful.

It would have been lovely for the story to continue a bit further, to see where the characters arrive in their lives and what the future brought. Regardless, a lovely romantic story which was enjoyed.
