Plot Summary
She spent her life crawling through the sewers. But it was better than being a slave.
For centuries, humans have been forced to bend low to their betters in the City of Lust. Whether it be to give them their unpaid labor, their bodies, or their very lives. Some choose to live underground to avoid this fate. But if you want goods to sell, and more than fungi to eat, you have to travel to the surface.
And sometimes you get caught.
The city guard wants to make Zehra's imprisonment permanent. But a demon has another plan for her. His honeyed words are promising, and the reward for her service is irresistible. It's hard to focus when the handsome incubus at your side could drain your very soul with just a kiss. He's dangerous, but the Devil You Know is better than the one you don't.
He was disgraced, and he was going to make them regret it.
Callistus has a plan to get back at the Queen of Succubi. Her most precious jewel needs to end up in his hands and his connections tell him of a thief who may be able to help him.
To their surprise, this simple treasure is more than either of them could have expected. What they learn makes them targets for the upcoming power struggle of all kingdoms in Hell.
Why should a fiend stay true to his word when it could mean ultimate power over the Hells? And why does it drive him crazy whenever Zehra ignores his advances? He bought her freedom; he owns her, and she should show a bit of appreciation.
