Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 19, 2024

Seraphina is in trouble and she knows it. Her spaceship crashed and now being threatened by hordes of succubi who desire her, body and soul, she has to survive until rescue. But there’s something strange about the succubi and Seraphina’s will is slowly crumbling under their never ending onslaught of need and desires.

The work is a mixture of mind control, transformation, corruption and seduction with a very strong futa aspect. Written as a slow burn piece, the reveals are parcelled out slowly over the telling of Seraphina’s encounter with very little being telegraphed as to much of the mystery about the succubi until the very end. The erotic heat simmers at the beginning but soon Seraphina falls under the spell of the succubi which brings things to a boil delightfully well.

The succubi in this work are futa, which is this author’s particular theme they tend to write about. There’s a kind of barrier between Seraphina and them which works well to hide their nature, who they are, and make them that much more alien and different. The succubi are very unique in their form and actions which add to the temptation and need that builds to the climax. As an aside there are so very few succubi of this nature, both in their physical form and nature, which are told well, this being one of the best erotic tellings I hove read in some time.

The slow fall and corruption of Seraphina is really well told and it’s honestly so very gripping a tale as it’s spun. How things turn, the reveal at the climax, it all just fits together really well.

Four out of five pitchforks.

I’d really like to see a follow on work and have that focus on where the succubi in this story universe came from. If not that, then an exploration of their race and how it all works. There’s a lot of places to take things and it would be a shame for this to be a one off and leave so much story untold.
