Plot Summary
After everything that they've been through together, from fighting a resurrected undead demon lord to dodging demon assassins to building a mining town in an inhospitable, frozen wasteland, John and Yelena, starcrossed lovers from different realms, have decided that the time has come for a vacation, and a sexy, fun-filled adventure in an exotic, faraway land. With this in mind, they set sail to Kindress, home of the amorous fox-people, the kit.
Unfortunately, their plans come to a violent and crashing halt when the ship they were taking is destroyed in the middle of the night by a powerful storm. As they wash up on the shores of a mysterious island with an air of omnipresent menace that seems to cling to everything, John and Yelena team up with Layla, a skilled and fierce cat-woman warrior and survivor of the shipwreck.
As they start trying to find a way off the unknown island, however, their priorities shift from mere escape and survival to something far more dangerous and crucial as they learn that they have stumbled onto a lethal situation...
