Plot Summary
Morgaine has lived a sheltered life in her father's palace. She has spent her time reading, studying and planning for a future that might never arrive. There is little to hope for when your father is the Dark Lord Malaghast, the cruel and cunning ruler of the Grey Lands.
The death of the Dark Lord takes Morgaine by surprise. She soon realizes that she will need allies if she is to survive in a world filled with enemies. The Grey Lands and the wider world are filled with monsters, fae and humans that would happily plunder the treasures that Malaghast has left behind.
Fortunately for Morgaine, she has the power of her strange, mixed parentage. Her mother was a fae, possessed by a succubus. Her father was Malaghast, a creature little understood by even the wisest sages. Morgaine's blood burns with the power to enchant, manipulate and seduce.
The first enemies that Morgaine must face are the monstrous guards that her father had left to protect her. The Urroks were bred for war, rape and pillage. Without their master, they intend to take the Palace as their own and enjoy whatever pleasures they can find.
Morgaine must test her powers against the Urroks and discover if her charms are enough to turn the brutal monsters into loyal allies. Taming these warlike brutes will take all of her magic and all of her sexual skill. The time has come for 'Subtle Diplomacy'.
