Plot Summary
Vivian struggles to maintain her humanity and not succumb to being just a lust-crazed succubus. But it is easier said than done when Elvira drives her crazy and the mage ignites the fires within her like no one else. She is connected to everyone in the village and when anyone climaxes from love, she loses control and climaxes with them. Vivian realizes that she can no longer climax by herself. No matter how aroused she becomes, release is impossible unless someone in the village climaxes. And whether she likes it or not, when anyone in the village climaxes, it consumes her and she involuntarily gushes out her arousal. Irena shows her true colors when she helps Vivian get through the onslaught of love-making that the night brings. The villagers are amorous that night, and by the end of it, Vivian is left in a daze, drained of the liquid magic inside her and covered in her own arousal.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 5, 2024
Vivian’s nature has consumed her, being a succubus is all that she knows and she is losing herself. The anger is worse, the choices are few and with each she makes, things seem to be worse. Can love really overcome all or will Vivian disappear forever becomes the question.
Following on from the prior work, the story presses on with Vivian losing her way and those around her being both help and hinderance. It’s a bit frustrating as to how Vivian loses herself at the point where something good might happen and it happens a lot here. That said, the plot is interesting, the characters beyond Vivian are quite remarkable and the mythos building I found to be just fascinating.
As in the prior works, the erotica is focused on futa themes, with Vivian driving these encounters. It’s still a bit too over the top, being less of desire than of raw need which works overall, though it would have been nice to temper that a bit for Vivian to explore her feelings and nature, to come to terms with herself.
The ending sort of peters out from the climax, leaving a lot of questions behind and to be wondered about. That’s mainly in the characters who are part of the coven who are dealing with Vivian. They are scattered in thought and action for much of the story and some kind group motivation needs to be explored away from Vivian herself.
Three out of five pitchforks.
Between the fifth work in the series and this one was about a year. Hopefully there will be a future work to close the series as there’s still a lot left to be explored and explained. I would like to see some kind of resolution to Vivian, a sense of closure somehow which gives her some kind of calm within her nature. It’s a hope, we shall see if that will be.
