Plot Summary

After two centuries of seducing, draining, and destroying for survival, succubus Lily Voss is done. Tired of the hunger. Tired of death. Tired of being the monster everyone fears. So she moves to the magical cul-de-sac of Everdale, hoping to bury her past and blend into the background with a fixer-upper, sarcasm, and low expectations.

But Everdale isn’t exactly normal. Especially not when she meets Marcus — a grumpy, gentle single dad with twin five-year-olds, a protective streak a mile wide, and zero clue she could eat him for breakfast. Just being near him makes her hunger flare in dangerous ways… but walking away might hurt more.

As Lily tries to settle into her new life of backyard BBQs and HOA meetings, she discovers something much darker is lurking beneath Everdale’s sunny surface. An ancient coven wants her power. Her past won’t stay buried. And the sentient, corrupted amulet she steals from the Bloodmother — a power source that feeds her without guilt — whispers reminders of the monster she used to be.

With a war brewing, magical wards crumbling, and the people she loves at risk, Lily has to decide what kind of monster she wants to be.

Because love doesn’t come easy for a succubus with a past.

And in Everdale?

Even soft monsters bite back.
